Ponderosa Park Meet - August 12th
Sunday Aug. 12 Ponderosa State Park
starts from 11-1pm.
Classic style with three courses:
Novice 2.5km
Intermediate 3.5 km,
Advanced 7.4km.
Course stats may change.
The start and finish will be at the
overflow parking area to the right across from the entrance to the main camping
area on the peninsula just before the peninsula gate, about .75 miles past the
entrance kiosk. Participants will need an Idaho State park pass or pay
the $5 per vehicle park entrance fee. John Murray has worked hard on
updating the map using LiDar contours which will be a big improvement over the
old map. Field checking is incomplete however especially with respect to
vegetation mapping. The advanced course will explore the previously
unused north part of the park. E-punch will not be used.
Please RSVP so I’ll have an idea how
many maps to print.
Note that there is a big UTV event
going on that weekend in McCall so lodging will be tight. People are
welcome to camp at my house if they’d like.

Bring the family and hang out at the beach and pick huckleberries!
Due to lack of sign ups, the Novice course will not be set. Dress for mosquito protection.
